VW Type 2056cc Crankshaft assembly! 2L rods installed... ready to be installed in the engine case!

 

Change of Plans!! After some research a decision has been to acquire a new Stroker Crankshaft with counter weights and a set of I-Beam Rods!!! This will result in a 2254cc engine build!

VW Type IV Stroker Crankshaft! This a 78mm stroked crank with counter weights for a more complete balanced engine! The crank weights around 23 lbs. The stock 2L crank is the small one above!

VW Type IV I-Beam Rods with ARP high Strength bolts. Did not change the stroke... still 71mm(stock). These weight a lot less then the stock VW Rods.

 

VW Type 4 Engine Cooling Fan! This is For Sale... will not be used! Purchased a Type 1 Pulley setup to be mounted on the Type 4 hub for the alternator...

Type 4 VW Engine Cooling Fan - This fan serves 3 purposes, provides cooling to cool the engine... provide pulley for alternator belt... and shows the timing marks to time the engine... purchased on eBay not available new. This cooling fan is in very good shape. May not use this fan due to the type of alternator installation... but it is needed for the timing marks to time the engine...

CYB-7009 Cyberdyne Air/Fuel Mixture Gauge... All Led's are lit up showing ideal air/fuel mixture condition with the middle 2 bars green... Above the green bars is a rich condition and below is a lean condition. By monitoring you know exactly where your mixture setting should at all times.

Bosch Premium O2(oxygen) SUM-G2990 Sensor and Steel Bung - To be welded in exhaust... purchased from Summit Racing for $17.95(sensor)and $5.95(bung). Comes with female threads and 18mm x 1.5(spark plug threads)...

Holly Fuel Pressure Regulator - #12-803 Has 3/8 NPT fittings and 4 to 9 psi control. Mikuni Carb requires about 4.5 psi fuel pressure!

Facet Fuel Pumps - 2(two) #40109 pumps in parallel, one as primary and the other as a backup! Will mount on a - 1/8" 6061 T6 aluminum plate with the Holly Fuel Pressure Regulator... on vibration dampers similar to the Flamethrower Ignition Module! Fittings will be 3/8 NPT to AN -6 nipples.

Holly Fuel Pressure Regulator - #12-803 Has 3/8 NPT fittings and 4 to 7 psi control. Mikuni Carb requires about 4.5 psi fuel pressure! By running the pumps in parallel this can be maintained even if both pumps are on at the same time!

Fuel Pump Module - 2 Facet Fuel Pumps - #40109 pumps in parallel, one as primary and the other as a backup, feeds to the Holly Pressure Regulator...mounted on a - 1/8" 6061 T6 aluminum plate on vibration dampers! Fittings will be 3/8 NPT to AN -6 nipples. Fuel pressure to be maintained at about 4.5 psi for the Mikuni Carb!
